Early this summer we starting actively looking for a property (going to open houses, surfing the MLS listings weekly, etc.) but hadn't committed to a real estate agent yet. We happened to stumble across an open house, and that's where we met Anil. As he handed us the listing and we glanced at the price (something like $1.2 million), we felt out of our league. We nonetheless told him we were looking to purchase something in the area, but for much less. So I left him my email address, and a couple of days later we started receiving listings (in mid-May).

From the moment we starting asking to see some of these properties, Anil was nothing but courteous, attentive, and patient. We must have visited at least 20+ locations and all the while Anil would offer us helpful and honest advice. What we also appreciated is that he never asked us to sign any agreement tying us to him for an eternity (as some of those contracts do). This means we could have walked away and seen another realtor at anytime, and he would have essentially wasted his time with us. But that's where the difference began: it was about mutual trust, respect, and confidence from the beginning. He would meet us at the various locations along the Danforth, on occassion driving us if it was more convenient, and never did or said anything to pressure us or hurrying us up, even after months of searching, and our changing our minds several times.

While we had met other realtors in the past, we are very happy that Anil helped us purchase our new home (at the end of Septmeber). He even recommended other professionals for the home inspection, and eventually, renovations, roofing, etc. all of which have demonstrated the same level of integrity, honesty and professionalism as Anil. From our first meeting to closing the deal, Anil was well-informed, honest, courteous, and after some time we even felt he was like a an old friend more than our real estate agent. I sold my Oakville townhouse with Anil Khera in an amazing 8 hour time frame! Obviously this is not the norm, but I will explain why I know Anil played a critical role. First, Anil was very honest and open on what I needed to do to make the house more appealing for the sale, which I followed up on with his help. Second, we openly discussed price and market value. We came to a price that was slightly under similar homes in the same area, knowing that the other homes had many more features like finished basement and hardwood floors (of which my home had neither). Third, prior to listing Anil advised agents throughout the region..this generated almost immediate showings once it was listed. When we did open, our price generated a lot of interest and eventually competitive bidding and negotiating by Anil got us a sale significantly above asking price and comparable to the price of homes with more features that sold a month ago.

I met Anil Khera at an open house this past August and was immediately impressed with his professionalism. While the open house property he was showing was too small for my son’s needs, he listened to what was required and was very responsive in arranging for other property viewings, taking us out on showings within days of our first meeting.

After having worked with many real estate agents over the past 27 years as a buyer and seller, I recognized very quickly that Anil was impeccably responsive in his communication; returning calls and emails promptly, emailing suitable listing within 24 hours of our first meeting, and soon after in his listing of one of our properties.

My wife and I first met Anil in January 2009 when the thought of jumping into the real estate market was still a new and uncertain idea. While exploring potential neighbourhoods one afternoon, we came across of a trail of open house signs which led us to Anil.

At first meeting, we recognized Anil’s patient and kind demeanour. We soon admitted that we were just starting our house hunt, and that we had a lot to learn. As we toured the house, Anil’s friendly manner put us at ease and we found ourselves comfortable asking all of the elementary questions that were coming to mind. In the end, we agreed that we would be happy to receive any listings that Anil thought would interest us, though we wanted some time to arrange financing before getting deep into the house hunt.

We met Nutan Brown at an open house a couple of years ago. We were impressed with her energy, commitment and warm personality, so we retained her card for future use. When we decided to sell our Bloor West Village duplex in 2008, we invited 3 local real estate agents to give us their professional feedback on the condition of the property, any renovations required and a realistic selling price. One well-known agent made a half-hearted attempt to get back to us. The other showed up as scheduled, and gave us a temptingly high estimate. Nutan was the third agent. She also involved the other member of her team right from the start - her brother Anil Khera, whose involvement added greatly to the project.

The painters that we had engaged two months before cancelled the week before they were supposed to start our large painting job. Nutan called her painter right away, and by the next week, we had an excellent painter who helped us to transform our house from dowdy to dynamite. Nutan and Anil were very hands-on during the renovation process, working together with us to get the job done in the timeframe we'd set out. They were always available with suggestions, suppliers and advice, and even offered to roll up their sleeves to pitch in to do some of the dirty work.

We listed our property the day before the economic trouble around the world last fall burst into the headlines. Almost immediately, a palpable hush fell over real estate activity in the city. During this unpredictable time, Nutan and Anil worked tirelessly and creatively to market and promote our property, and ran an open house every weekend until the house was sold.
